Katie Lam: Badenoch should sack her instead of allowing extreme views to fester in Conservative Party

Responding to Kemi Badenoch saying Katie Lam spoke ‘imprecisely’ in stating large numbers of people would ‘need to go home’, Liberal Democrat Home Affairs Spokesperson Max Wilkinson MP said:
“Katie Lam’s divisive comments will have caused angst for families worried about being broken apart. Kemi Badenoch should sack her from the Conservative front bench to send a clear signal that this was not her party’s policy and restore order to her ranks.
“Instead we have more Conservative chaos as Badenoch allows extreme views to fester within her own party - just look at the way most of her MPs were cheering on Nigel Farage as he tried to rip up our hard won rights.
“If the Conservative Party continues to dance to Farage’s tune, they will alienate more and more voters who believe in a decent and tolerant Britain."
