Inflation figures will be of 'no comfort' to millions of families

Responding to this mornings figures from the Office for National Statistics which show UK inflation has to fallen to 2.8%, Liberal Democrat Treasury Spokesperson, Daisy Cooper MP, said: 

“This news will be of no comfort to the millions of families across the country who are struggling with the worst cost of living crisis in a generation, as energy and food prices continue to rise and mortgage bills remain sky high. 

“Today, the Chancellor has an opportunity to deliver real action to finally get the economy back on track. It is time for the Government to fix the mess they made in the Autumn Budget and deliver a real plan for growth to finally get our economy growing.”
