Hunt interview: More unfair tax hikes because the Conservative party crashed the economy
Responding to the Chancellor's interview on the Laura Kuenssberg show this morning, Liberal Democrat Treasury spokesperson Sarah Olney said: "We've all lost count now of how many Conservative Chancellors there has been this year promising to tackle the cost of living crisis. This is a case of new face at the top but same old story as food and heating bills spiral out of control whilst taxes rise on struggling households. "Hardworking families look set to be clobbered with yet more unfair tax hikes because the Conservative party crashed the economy. This economic chaos has to end. "When schools can no longer afford to turn on the heating and pay teachers you know the Government has completely messed up. Years of mismanagement of the economy by this Government and a disastrous budget has blown a blackhole in Britain's finances. The public will never forgive the Conservative party for this." |
