Govt must cut fuel duty as petrol and diesel prices rise again
Responding to research showing the cost of the Iran war to drivers at the pumps could hit an eye-watering £1billion as fuel prices rise again, Liberal Democrat Treasury Spokesperson Daisy Cooper MP said:
"Trump’s Iran war has cost British drivers an extra £1 billion and counting in higher petrol prices.
"While families are squeezed at the pump, Rachel Reeves is raking in more tax.
"That’s not right. It's time to cut fuel duty now and put money back in people’s pockets.”
