GDP: After years of Conservative mismanagement govt must act to kickstart economy

Responding to the latest GDP figures showing that there was no growth in the month of July, Liberal Democrat Treasury spokesperson, Sarah Olney MP said:
“The Conservative party’s years of economic vandalism has left our country with stagnant growth and hammered hardworking families with a cost of living crisis.
“The new government must waste no time in taking the strong action required to move away from the Conservative party’s disgraceful economic legacy. They must kickstart and maintain sustainable growth.
“This includes urgently launching a long-term industrial strategy, reforming business rates and finally ending the crisis in our NHS, to get more people off waiting lists and back into work."
