Davey on the EU: The Chancellor needs to stop just talking the talk and start walking the walk

Commenting after the Chancellor said at event on security in Europe that the biggest prize for Britain’s growth comes through deeper integration with the EU, Liberal Democrat Leader Ed Davey said:

"The Government has finally admitted that we need to fix our trade with Europe to grow the economy, so why on earth do they keep ruling out the best way to make it happen?

"A new Customs Union would help families and pensioners struggling with the cost of living, turbocharge British business, and raise billions for the NHS.

"The Chancellor needs to stop just talking the talk and start walking the walk."
