Customs Union: Kyle hasn’t just contradicted his cabinet colleagues, he’s contradicted himself

Responding to reports that Secretary of State for Business and Trade, Peter Kyle, has now said the UK would be 'crazy' not to look at a customs union, despite just 24 hours ago saying the UK would be ‘foolish’ to pursue one, Liberal Democrat Europe Spokesperson, Al Pinkerton MP said:

"Peter Kyle hasn’t just contradicted his cabinet colleagues, he’s contradicted himself just 24 hours ago.

“The Labour front bench is all over the place on the customs union. That’s because deep down they know it’s the best way to tackle the cost of living, reverse the economic damage of Brexit and stand up to Trump.”
