RAAC: Schools are paying the price for Conservative neglect

Responding to news that an additional 41 schools have been found to contain RAAC, Liberal Democrat Education spokesperson Munira Wilson MP said: 

“Parents will rightfully be furious to discover their children are being taught in unsafe buildings, some of which may be liable to collapse. 

"The Liberal Democrats have been calling for action on buildings affected by crumbling aero-concrete for months, but time and time again this Conservative Government refused to listen. Now schools across the country are paying the price for their neglect.

“The half-hearted mitigations for these schools is just another concrete example of this Conservative Government taking people for granted. The Liberal Democrats want to see urgent investment to remove RAAC from every single school it is found.”
