Peter Bone: Sunak must vote to suspend him

The Liberal Democrats have called on Rishi Sunak to confirm he will vote in favour of the motion to suspend Peter Bone.

It comes after Sunak ducked the vote on suspending Boris Johnson over the partygate report back in June.

Liberal Democrat Chief Wendy Chamberlain said:

“It would be a disgrace if Rishi Sunak ducked out of yet another vote on Conservative sleaze.

“One year ago Sunak stood on the steps of Downing Street and promised to govern with integrity. That promise has now been left in tatters, as Conservative MPs continue to act like the rules don’t apply to them.

“Time and again, Rishi Sunak has shown he is too weak to stand up to the endless chaos and rule-breaking in the Conservative Party.”
