Kemi Badenoch must condemn Boris Johnson over lobbying scandal and rule out him standing again for Conservatives

Responding to the latest reports about Boris Johnson in the Guardian, Liberal Democrat Cabinet Office spokesperson Sarah Olney MP said:

“Kemi Badenoch must come out today and unequivocally condemn Boris Johnson over this latest scandal, and rule him out from standing again for the Conservative Party.

“There are now serious questions over whether Boris Johnson has used his taxpayer-funded allowance to pursue his own commercial interests.

“Badenoch previously dismissed Boris Johnson’s partygate scandal as ‘overblown’, the public now deserves to know where she stands.

“Failure to act would show once again that Badenoch is failing to draw a line under years of Conservative sleaze.”
