Cameron Thomas is the Member of Parliament for Tewkesbury, having called time on a 23- year Royal Air Force career to continue his public service in Parliament. Cameron lives in the constituency, where his daughter attends school.

Cameron’s military career initially saw him serve in telecommunications and information technology, before a tour as a Drill Instructor inspired him to commission as a Military Police Officer. His service took place from Lincolnshire and the West Midlands, across Oxfordshire and to the Western Sovereign Base Area in Cyprus. Throughout his career he also deployed to the Falkland Islands, Iraq, Oman, the UAE and across the USA.

Since the election, Cameron has frequently spoken on defence and foreign policy issues, commonly lobbying government for closer collaboration with NATO and EU partners and for the rebuilding the UK defence-industrial base.

Cameron has spoken at length on behalf of local businesses, charities and schools, and has spoken in support for Gloucestershire Constabulary and Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue.

As an erstwhile member of the Environmental Audit Committee, he helped to commission a report into flood resilience in England, and as a sitting member of the Culture, Media and Sport Committee, he works to ensure that the arts are adequately resourced and supported.
