Calum Miller

MP for Bicester and Woodstock

Foreign Affairs Spokesperson

Calum Miller

Calum Miller is the Liberal Democrat MP for Bicester and Woodstock. As the County Councillor for Otmoor since 2021, he has been a strong voice for local communities. He supported the reinstatement of a county-wide youth service and rural community bus services, has helped secure additional funding for those struggling to meet the cost of living, and has brought communities together to address local flooding risks.

Calum has spent most of his adult life in Oxfordshire and has lived with his family within the new Bicester and Woodstock constituency for the past 12 years. Calum’s experience as a volunteer motivated him to stand for the county council. He has served his community as chair of a local school’s governing body, by establishing a fund to support vulnerable people during the pandemic, and as a junior rugby coach in Kidlington. He has also fundraised for a number of national health charities, including running the London Marathon for the Anthony Nolan Trust, through whom he was a bone marrow donor.

Calum is a senior fellow at Oxford University's School of Government, where he teaches public policy making to students from around the world. Previously, he was a senior civil servant in the Cabinet Office, the Foreign Office, and the Treasury. In both roles, he has had led hundreds of staff, managed multi-million pound budgets and helped deliver significant projects. He has a deserved reputation for getting things done with hard work and good humour.

Calum combines a deep commitment to our community with a proven track record in local and national government.
