Calum Miller
MP for Bicester and Woodstock
Foreign Affairs Spokesperson

Calum Miller has been the Liberal Democrat MP for Bicester and Woodstock since July 2024 and is the Foreign Affairs Spokesperson for the party. As a County Councillor for Otmoor from 2021-2025 and a school governor for ten years, Calum has a track-record as a strong voice for his local community.
As an MP, he has campaigned against sewage polluting our rivers in Oxfordshire, pushed the Government to provide a better solution to replace a level crossing in Bicester at London Road and is leading efforts to secure funding to build a new larger GP practice in Woodstock. As the Liberal Democrat Foreign Affairs Spokesperson, Calum regularly represents the party in the House of Commons chamber speaking on Gaza, Ukraine, Russia, the US and China. He meets with leaders and ambassadors; this has included President Macron and members of the US Congress.
Calum has lived in Oxfordshire for most of his adult life and has lived in what is now the constituency of Bicester and Woodstock with his family since 2012. He got involved in politics after volunteering motivated him to stand for the county council. He has served his community as chair of a local school’s governing body, by establishing a fund to support vulnerable people during the pandemic, and as a junior rugby coach for a local club. He has also raised funds for a number of national health charities, including running the London Marathon for the Anthony Nolan Trust, through whom he was a bone marrow donor.
Prior to being elected, Calum was a senior fellow at Oxford University's School of Government, where he taught public policy making to students and public servants from around the world. Previously, he was a senior civil servant in the Cabinet Office, the Foreign Office, and the Treasury. Across both careers, he has had led hundreds of staff, managed multi-million pound budgets and helped deliver significant projects. He has a deserved reputation for getting things done with hard work and good humour.
Calum combines a deep commitment to our community with a proven track record in local and national government.
