Mel Allcott

Candidate for Worcester

General Election - 4 July 2024

Mel Allcott has been a stalwart of Worcester politics since she became a City Councillor in 2019 for Claines. She quickly rose in status and took the county council seat in 2021 seeing her vote share increase each time. In 2024’s local election she was without a doubt the most popular candidate in Worcester, garnering the most votes by any single candidate across all the wards.

Born and raised in Worcester, Mel is a recognised name across the city. Along with her civic work, Mel has campaigned or been involved with numerous projects. She has campaigned vociferously for Women's rights, as well as for local teams and businesses while holding other parties to account.

Mel’s priorities for Worcester are a mirror for the problems across the UK, namely the NHS, the prevention of sewage dumping in our rivers and tackling the Cost of Living. In all three areas, Mel believes that improvements MUST be made.
