Henry has always lived in the West Suffolk area, he grew up in Linton and has lived in Haverhill for the last 8 years. He’s been a District and a County councillor for the last decade. When asked why he wants to stand to West Suffolk’s next MP, he said “I want to offer the people of West Suffolk the chance to be represented by someone that has grown up in the area and is fully invested in making the place as good as it can be.”
My priorities are:
• Back our local economy by completely removing business rates to help small to medium sized businesses.
• Rebuild our NHS by setting a new 7-day target for seeing a GP and a 2-month target for cancer patients to start treatment, paid for by ending tax breaks on the big banks.
• Renegotiate NHS dentist contracts to be enable dentists to take on the increased demand caused by COVID.
• Legislate to turn sewage companies into Public Benefit Companies, which would stop them from spending thousands of hours dumping sewage in local waterways.
• Support our rural economy by increasing the SFI budget to farmers and re-negotiating botched international trade deals that have undercut our local farmers.
