Helen Baxter

Candidate for Queen's Park and Maida Vale

General Election - 4 July 2024

Helen began campaigning for the Liberal Democrats following the EU referendum. Having been lucky enough to study as an Erasmus student herself, she can see the damage Brexit has done to our country, our economy and the next generation's opportunities.

She is a Chartered Accountant and previously worked as an international aid auditor. Her work ensured that funds were used and managed responsibly and helped build trust and transparency in the sector.

She most recently worked for a charity providing grants to young social entrepreneurs in developing countries, prioritising interventions at the grassroots level, as local communities know best what they need.

As a millennial, Helen is concerned about young people with families being priced out of this part of London and the lack of affordable and good quality housing for local key workers. She can see the impact the cost of living crisis is having and knows people are worried about NHS waiting lists and being able to see a GP.

Helen will be the local champion we need to get a fair deal for our area.
