Robert Court

Candidate for Derbyshire Dales

General Election - 4 July 2024

Robert Court

Robert Court is Liberal Democrat candidate for Derbyshire Dales. He worked as a physics teacher and then as a headmaster. He therefore offers scientific expertise, understanding of education and insights into how organisations work. Having retired, he saw the state of our political and public life and believed that something needed to be done about it. Truth, trust and integrity need to be restored to public life.

Having lived in beautiful Derbyshire Dales for 25 years, he has developed an understanding of the stresses affecting rural areas like this, including housing, squeezed local government, sustainability of communities and transport. Upland farmers have suffered from endless governmental changes of mind and lack of clarity, obstructing long-term business planning.

In this kind of location, our environmental problems stand out starkly - climate change and pollution, especially through illegal sewage discharges. Here, as everywhere, there are serious issues affecting households like the cost of living and the problems of the NHS.

I'm voting Liberal Democrat

On 4 July, I'm voting Liberal Democrat for a fair deal.
