LibDems launch new GP promise

Dr Paul Tibbles and the Liberal Democrats are calling for urgent action to make sure local residents in Tooting and Wandsworth can see their GP within a week, or 24 hours if in urgent need.

We know from listening to local residents that in some cases people can’t get registered to a local practice let alone get an appointment. Our National Health Service is being run into the ground by this Conservative Government.

So many people and families are anxiously waiting for an appointment for worrying symptoms.

Doctors are working as hard as they can but they’ve been let down by the Conservatives. Patients are paying the price.

"The Lib Dem plan would guarantee people can see a doctor quickly. And we’d introduce a new 24/7 hotline so people could book a GP appointment anytime, rather than have to wait in a long queue every morning hoping to get through in time."
