Wes Powell

Originally from Cornwall, Wes now lives in Lambeth after spending several years living and working abroad. He works in Parliament as a communications advisor and parliamentary aide, supporting MPs and helping to scrutinise government decisions.

With a background in business, communications and public affairs, Wes is passionate about local issues in Kennington and making sure residents’ voices are properly heard. He is determined to hold the current administration to account, push for value for money, and ensure council decisions are transparent, efficient and focused on local priorities that really matter to residents.

Wes is proud to be part of a strong Liberal Democrat Lambeth team with a wide range of skills and experience. If elected as a councillor, he wants to be an approachable, hard-working representative who listens carefully and deals with issues both big and small that affect the community.

Friendly, energetic and keen to learn, Wes enjoys meeting residents on the doorstep and at local events. When he is not campaigning, you’ll likely see him in local pubs, family-run restaurants, or out and about in the neighbourhood.
