Meet Dino Schreuder
I have lived in Walthamstow since 2005, where I have raised my family. Both of my children attended local schools, and throughout this time, I have been an active and engaged member of the community.
I played a role in the successful campaign to reopen the Walthamstow Cinema, volunteered with the Orion Harriers in Chingford, leading Wednesday evening club runs for young members, and served as a gala official for Tritons Swimming Club in Walthamstow.
I joined the Liberal Democrats in 2016 after feeling that the two major parties had failed to meet the needs of our community. This is my third time standing for election as a councilor, and I am running because I believe in taking practical action to improve the lives of local residents in Chapel End and make Walthamstow a better place for everyone.
Outside of politics, I work as a secondary school teacher, where I am committed to the development and well-being of the next generation.
I believe that local politics is about finding practical solutions to the issues that affect our community. Whether it's improving waste collection, holding Thames Water accountable for water leaks, or pressuring developers to deliver more affordable housing, I am dedicated to bringing about meaningful change. As a Liberal Democrat, I will work tirelessly to deliver these solutions and ensure that our council does better by its residents.
I am fully committed to working hard for Chapel End, and I am ready to make a real difference for our community.
