Labour: Soft on Crime, Soft on Prevention

❌ Labour Mayor Sadiq Khan broke his pledge to keep a police front desk in every borough. Soon, Waltham Forest will lose its only one, in Chingford.

❌ He also promised 1,300 extra officers, yet the Met has just announced it will axe 1,700 officers, PCSOs and staff!

❌ Labour’s Council has extended the borough-wide Public Space Protection Order to 2028 – but residents say it’s barely enforced.

✅ The Lib Dems will:

  • Keep Waltham Forest’s last front counter service open.
  • Put more bobbies on the beat by cutting back-office waste.
  • Stop the removal of our local officers to Central London.

Lib Dem campaigner Alex Marshall-Lewis said, “Front desks are a vital place of refuge, especially for those fleeing domestic abuse. We need real community policing, not cuts.”
