Labour Plunges Higham Hill into Darkness

11 Oct 2023

With the evenings getting darker and the clocks soon to go back, it is becoming more and more obvious that there are broken streetlights that need fixing all over Higham Hill.

Dark streets make people feel unsafe and, with residents reporting crime as a major concern, the problem is only going to get worse as the days grow shorter and people feel less comfortable being out in their own communities.

There have been only Labour councillors in Higham Hill for the last 13 years and what have they been doing this whole time? Their legacy is broken streetlights and broken promises.

It is clear to see that Labour have abandoned the area.

Liberal Democrat candidate Alex Lewis said, “I live in Higham Hill and I want everyone to have a neighbourhood they can feel safe in. To get the lights fixed, the streets cleaned, the potholes fixed, and to increase police patrols, so that everyone can get out and enjoy our local area.”

“For too long Higham Hill has been taken for granted by the Labour party and now is the time to vote for change.”
