Labour Council’s Budget Chaos

Your Labour-run council plans to make cuts worth £13.6m over three years in their 2025/26 budget, including nearly £2m in cuts to children's social care.

While cutting crucial services, Labour has raised council tax. For someone living in a Band D property, their annual bill will rise by £104.

Local Liberal Democrat campaigner Naomi McCarthy said, “Labour promised to invest in our community's future and to make our borough the best place for kids to grow up. Instead it's putting some of the poorest and most vulnerable people in Waltham Forest under even more pressure during the cost of living crisis. So much for 'a fairer future'.”
