Grove Green campaigner Arran Angus helped a resident of Grove Green Road get her money back from the council.

A local resident with dyslexia accidentally transferred over £1,000 to Waltham Forest Council when trying to pay a bill using her online banking. She called the council phone line to try and get her money back but was just given the runaround.

Two working days after contacting Arran for help, she had the money back in her account.

Liberal Democrat campaigner Arran Angus said, “You should always be careful when transferring money online, but sometimes mistakes happen. I was happy to be able to help.”
