Rennie: SNP can only deliver a desperate package of broken promises

Responding to John Swinney’s interview with Laura Kuenssberg this morning, Scottish Liberal Democrat Willie Rennie MSP said:  

“John Swinney’s flat interview showed just how irrelevant his agenda is in this election campaign. He’s going backwards and he knows it.

“The SNP can deliver nothing except a desperate package of broken promises. Even its biggest promises are drifting into fantasy. They have no plan, no vision and no energy. 

“The SNP have delivered hundreds of millions of pounds of cuts to local government, housing and the environment. When it comes to taking an axe to public services, they are just as bad as the Tories.

“With a Liberal Democrat, you have someone who will get the basics right, who stands up for you and your community and who is for change across the country.”
