Rennie responds to EIS voting for strike action

Responding to the EIS voting overwhelmingly in favour of strike action, Scottish Liberal Democrat education spokesperson Willie Rennie MSP said:

“What clearer demonstration of SNP dysfunction could there be than school strikes during the forthcoming election campaign?

“All teachers ever get from the SNP are warm words and lots of promises.

“Nicola Sturgeon made those promises, but she avoided the Liberal Democrats' debate on why she broke them. So much for telling everyone she cared about being judged on her record.

“Scottish Liberal Democrats will expand pupil support in every school and give every child the best start in life. If you like the sound of that, you should back us on your second, peach, regional ballot paper in May.”
