Greene comments on close A9 vote
10 Dec 2025
Responding to the Scottish Government’s amendment to this evening’s debate which sought to water down a commitment to dual the A9 by 2035 and was defeated by the presiding officer’s casting vote, transport spokesperson Jamie Greene said:
“The Scottish Government tried to wriggle off the hook but they have not been allowed to get away with it. I’m pleased that Liberal Democrat votes have prevented them from ditching this commitment.
“Communities along the A9 are sick of how long this is taking.
“Parliament expects this deadline to be delivered. The SNP need to get on with it.”
