Cole-Hamilton comments on nursing retention report

Commenting on the embargoed report from the Royal College of Nursing calling for a retention strategy to keep more nurses in their jobs at all stages of their career, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Alex Cole-Hamilton said:
"One of the first things I did after being elected in 2016 was warn about recruitment and retention problems in our NHS.
"The better part of a decade later, successive SNP health secretaries have failed to get a grip.
"Michael Matheson must listen to the findings of this report and put nursing expertise at the heart of our NHS recovery."
