Paul Kennedy
Candidate for Glasgow Central
From a young age, I always had an interest in current affairs and politics. In the police, I was precluded from taking part in politics and only became a member of the Lib. Dems. after retirement. I grew up alongside my young cousin, the late Charles Kennedy. Charles was instrumental in formally introducing me to politics. When Charles was elected to Westminster in 1982, I regularly visited him in London. The views, aspirations and policies developed by the newly forming Liberal Democrats closely aligned with those of myself. These visions have survived to this date.
I have already dedicated my life to public service. My political career is somewhat embryonic at this stage though I believe that the experience I have gained has equipped me with the necessary credentials and life skills to deal with individuals from all walks of life. I have the values, stamina, willpower, and commitment to engage in a targeted campaign to return a Lib Dem.
