James Calder

Candidate for Cowdenbeath

James Calder

James Calder is a councillor in Fife Council and the leader of the Liberal Democrat group. As a councillor he has track record of getting things done for the people of Fife.

He has secured extra funding for our schools, including help to tackle school violence as well as more support for pupils in classrooms.

He has raised health and social care issues at Fife Council to challenge the Scottish Government's failure to deliver, including access to NHS dentistry.

Recently he was instrumental in securing funding to build a new swimming pool and leisure centre for Inverkeithing, despite the opposition of the SNP to this funding package.

As a MSP for Cowdenbeath, James Calder will ensure local communities are supported and will represent change with fairness at its heart.
