Candidates - Isleworth Ward
Roger Crouch
Roger has lived in Isleworth for eight years and values the strong sense of community that makes the area a great place to live. After more than twenty years working as a solicitor specialising in mental capacity cases, he retrained as a teacher in 2022 and now works at a state secondary school in Hounslow. Engaging young people in local decision-making is important to him. He previously served as a Liberal Democrat councillor in Twickenham, helping introduce the pedestrianisation of Church Street and borough wide dementia strategy. Roger would work to empower residents and challenge the “Council knows best” approach in Hounslow.
Rob Thorpe
Rob has lived in Isleworth for 15 years and worked in the Borough of Hounslow for 23 years, giving him a strong understanding of local issues. His son attended a local school, and he served on a church council in Isleworth for 10 years, and many residents may recognise him from around the area walking his dog. Rob is standing to help break the status quo, ensure residents are properly represented, and hold the council and its decision-makers to account.
Judith Trounson
Judith has lived in Isleworth for 23 years and is a member of the board of a local residents' association. She holds a degree in Maths and previously worked as a systems programmer; she now works as an IT consultant. She is passionate about gender and social equality, tackling poverty, and protecting the environment. She actively campaigns to reduce fly-tipping and improve road safety in Isleworth. Together with her husband, she volunteers at Hounslow Community FoodBox and has also worked with several charities supporting people experiencing a crisis of homelessness. She believes strongly in transparency and honesty in politics and wants to help make Hounslow a clean, green and safe borough where the needs of residents always come first.
