NHS confirms Wilson Hospital for new health and wellbeing hub

NHS bosses confirmed recently at a meeting of Merton Council's Healthier Communities and Older People Overview committee that the Wilson Hospital will be refurbished as a health and wellbeing hub, extending to some 4,000 sq ft of dedicated space for new ways of working for health and mental health care locally.
The Wilson project is now moving to the next stage for the final business case. Following continued campaigning by the Lib Dems' Cllr Jenifer Gould (Cannon Hill) who leads on health issues for the Lib Dem official opposition on the Council, both Breast Cancer Screening and Sexual Health are under consideration for inclusion at the Wilson.
