Our Priorities for Muswell Hill
1) Crime & Policing
Residents are rightly concerned about burglary, shoplifting and anti-social behaviour. Muswell Hill needs visible neighbourhood policing, faster responses, and real action against repeat offenders.
We will work with police and communities to make streets safer, support victims, and ensure crime is tackled, not ignored.
2) Cost of Living
Rising food, energy and housing costs are hitting Muswell Hill residents hard. Equally the cost of energy, goods, and increased taxes from central government are creating huge pressure on our local businesses.
We will push the council to use every power it has to support our residents and small businesses through the cost of living crisis, and target help at those struggling most with bills and everyday expenses.
3) Parks & Green Spaces
Our local parks and green spaces are vital for health, wellbeing and community life, and are part of what makes Muswell Hill so amazing.
We will not just protect them, but allow them to flourish: prioritising proper maintenance, safer facilities, and continued access for all residents, to ensure these valued spaces remain clean, welcoming and well-looked-after.

Karolina Braun
I am an architect, specialising in conservation, who has lived and worked here locally for 20 years.
I want to improve housing quality, public spaces and climate resilience by bringing long-term, resident-focused thinking to local decisions - making Muswell Hill an even more special place.
As a Liberal Democrat, giving back to the community, amplifying residents’ voices and supporting those most in need are, of course, central to why I want to be your local champion: to follow in the long tradition of Lib Dem councillors in Muswell Hill, started nearly three decades ago by Lynne Featherstone and continued most recently with Councillor Pippa Connor.
Tony Powell
I’ve lived in Muswell Hill for 30 years and care deeply about our community.
I’ve seen residents’ voices ignored, consultations fail to lead to action, and decisions imposed without explanation. I want to change that.
With senior finance, property, and governance experience as a partner in one of the UK's top four accountancy firms, and local campaign experience as part of Councillor Pippa Connor's team here in Muswell Hill, I’ll work alongside residents to improve transparency and ensure Haringey Council listens, responds, and delivers better.

One of the most important things you can do – apart from voting of course – is allow us to put up one of our orange signs at the front of your property.
You will be familiar with them - the orange diamond boards, similar to an estate agent’s sign, which say ‘Liberal Democrats’ on them. They are by far the best way to show how much support there is locally and remind people to vote.
