Thank you: Record 51 Lib Dem councillors elected in Sutton
A record 51 Liberal Democrat councillors have been elected across Sutton, continuing the party’s 40-year record of leading the council and standing up for local residents.
The Liberal Democrats gained 23 new councillors at the election, meaning every ward in the borough is now represented by at least one Lib Dem councillor.
Residents can find information about their local ward team, including contact details, at suttonlibdems.org.uk/councillors.
Barry Lewis, Lib Dem Leader of Sutton Council, said “Thank you to everyone across Sutton who placed their trust in us.
“This result is a real vote of confidence in a team who work hard all year round for their communities, listen to residents and deliver for the borough.
We’re proud that every part of Sutton now has a local Lib Dem councillor standing up for them.”
