Roundshaw park set for nearly £100,000 investment

Roundshaw Park in Wallington is set to receive almost £100,000 in upgrades that will make the park more fun and accessible for everyone.

The improvement will be funded primarily through Sutton Council’s Neighbourhood Fund with extra support from developers..

Funding has been provided for:

  • New outdoor gym equipment

  • Installing new skate ramps

  • New floodlights at Roundshaw Playing Fields to support football training for a wide range of players.

  • Replacing the playground fencing..

  • And, the addition of two new pathways: one from Lindbergh Road to the playground path and another from Mollison Drive to the top park entrance on Foresters Drive.

Ed Joyce, Liberal Democrat Councillor for South Beddington and Roundshaw, said:

"This investment is fantastic news for Roundshaw. I’ve had lots of residents writing to me about the skate park and the need for new gym equipment so I’m really excited to see these projects along with all the others come to life. Investing in parks is a great way to invest into our community.”
