Project to revitalise the Oaks Park area

Local Lib Dem councillor, Lisa Webster, working with the Friends of Oaks Park, has submitted a major funding bid to the council’s Neighbourhood Fund.

This project aims to significantly revitalise the area around Oaks Park, the lavender fields and the smallholdings.

The plan, acting on feedback from local residents, includes a deep clean of litter from hedgerows, installing CCTV to combat fly-tipping, improved street lighting and better footpaths. The project also funds tree planting and increasing biodiversity.

The team is still refining the project and is looking for local involvement if we get the funding.
