Lib Dem Bobby joins Navarathri celebrations

Local Lib Dem Bobby Dean visited Sri Raja Rajeswary Amman Temple in Stoneleigh to celebrate Navarathri.

Many locals from the Tamil community in Sutton and across South West London attend the temple in Stoneleigh, where Bobby was also joined by Lib Dem MP for Richmond Park, Sarah Olney.

There was a musical performance by local school children followed by a special Poojah worshipping offer to the gods.

Bobby Dean, running to be MP for Carshalton & Wallington, said:

“It was a pleasure to join in the Navarathri celebrations with the local Tamil community. I felt very welcomed and it was an honour to receive traditional gifts of fruit from the temple attendees. I look forward to joining in more celebrations with the community soon.”
