Funding secured for new motorcycle barrier on Roundshaw Downs

Lib Dem-run Sutton Council has allocated £60,000 for the placement of inhibitor gates on Roundshaw Downs.

These gates are designed to limit motorcycle access to the Downs.

Lib Dem Parliamentary Candidate Bobby Dean said:

“This motorcycle access causes disturbance to residents as a result of noise and is potentially dangerous to other users.

“There were a number of different options in the consultation.

“A critical issue is access for disabled users with mobility scooters. We have listened to residents' feedback and will report back with new plans.”
