Councillors hold rogue developers to account

Your Lib Dem councillors have been reporting breaches of planning rules and unsafe practices, including the burning of construction waste on local development sites.

They also alerted the council when contractors were suspected of poisoning trees protected by a Tree Protection Order.

The local team has also opposed plans to remove the public house status of the old Wallington Arms, which developers want to convert to commercial or residential use.

Despite developers' claims, residents insist there is still demand for another pub in Wallington.
