Bobby Dean attended a local walking football session with Sutton United Foundation and Parkinson's UK, reflecting the importance of community support for people with Parkinson’s and other mobility limitations.

Around 140,000 people in England are living with Parkinson's, a progressive condition that affects movement and balance. Life with Parkinson’s can be really physically and emotionally difficult, so it’s important that there is support for people in our local communities.

Sutton United and Parkinson’s UK have teamed up to provide weekly sessions, which are open to anyone with Parkinson’s or other mobility limitations. Walking football is a great way to get out of the house for some physical activity, whilst also socialising. Speaking after the visit Bobby Dean MP, said:

“I really enjoyed it. Everyone made me feel really welcome.

"It was also an honour to meet the England Women’s Parkinson's Walking Football Team, who are heading to a competition in Canada next week. Wishing them the best of luck!”
