Approval for new scheme replacing Victoria House

Local Lib Dems are delighted to see that the planning application to replace Victoria House was approved at Sutton Council's Planning Committee.

Home Group has already demolished the derelict building -- we're hopeful construction will begin soon.

Jason Stone, Lib Dem North Cheam campaigner said:

“It'll be fantastic to see new life brought to this prominent corner of North Cheam after multiple aborted proposals.

"Residents we’ve spoken to are really happy with the Art Deco design, in keeping with the buildings opposite. 

“This is thanks to a panel of residents and design experts, that Lib Dems had pushed for.”
