Anger at Conservatives over sewage dumping

The sheer scale of sewage dumping in the River Wandle has shocked local people – with 25 discharges in the last two years.

Anger has been directed at the Conservative Government for doing nothing to stop the dumping.

The local Conservative MP even voted against plans to name and shame water companies killing animals with sewage in local rivers.

Bobby Dean, who is running to be Carshalton & Wallington's next Lib Dem MP, said:

“The Wandle is such a cherished part of our community – that’s what makes the Government and local Tory MP’s behaviour so shameful. We deserve better.
