West Central London Assembly Candidate Christophe Noblet has hit out at years of short-sighted cuts and neglect that has left Fulham without a single operational police station.

With crime across Hammersmith & Fulham currently 12% higher than the London average, many are calling for the Metropolitan Police to get back to proper community policing.

“It’s simple” says Christophe. “On this Mayor’s watch, we have lost all of our police stations. We should at least now have Community Police Hubs where people can report crime and reach the police face-to-face.

“When I knock on doors in Fulham the one thing that comes up again and again is that nobody sees the police in our community anymore. People just don’t feel like the police have a presence here. We desperately need these new Community Police Hubs to restore trust in policing in our area.

“So I’m calling for the Metropolitan Police to find new sites in Fulham that can be converted into small but effective Community Police Hubs, to give local residents a sense of security again”.

Restoring trust through proper Community Policing is one of the key local Liberal Democrat campaigns in 2024. Our London Mayoral candidate Rob Blackie has called for the Met Police to reform so that it represents all Londoners and works efficiently.
