Elsie Gisslegard lives in the ward and loves Shepherd’s Bush for its energy, community and mix of cultures. Day to day, Elsie is a communications professional with experience supporting UK–EU policy work, helping decision-makers turn complex issues into practical action. As Secretary of her Residents’ Association, she works with neighbours to get problems fixed and keep the area a great place to live. Elsie is passionate about women’s safety, making it easier to move around the area with confidence.

Fergus Ustianowski

Fergus Ustianowski is a local resident and a data consultant who brings a practical, problem-solving mindset to community issues. He cares about the everyday basics that make life work, such as clean pavements, well-managed waste, and responsive council services. Fergus is often out walking his dog and wants streets that are safer and cleaner for everyone, and a Shepherd’s Bush where independent businesses are supported to flourish and keep the area lively.

Our Priorities for Shephards Bush Green are:

Safer streets: antisocial behaviour, lighting, and enforcement

We will deliver a neighbourhood safety plan with better lighting on key routes, regular joint walkabouts with police/council teams, and targeted enforcement at hotspots, plus a clear, easy way for residents to report issues and track what’s been done.

A thriving high street: clean, welcoming, and good for local trade

We will revive Uxbridge Road and Goldhawk Road with reliable cleaning and rapid removal of graffiti and litter, stronger action on nuisance issues that drive footfall away, and practical support for independent businesses such as shopfront improvements, and a “local-first” approach to keeping the high street busy and safe.

Decent homes: clean, safe, secure housing for everyone

We will push for a decent homes guarantee. Quicker repairs, tougher action on damp and mould, transparent contractor performance, and stronger support for residents navigating housing problems, including leaseholders, shared ownership as well as tenants, so people can live in clean, safe, secure homes.
