Creech & North Curry

Meet your Lib Dem candidate, Hamish Hunter

Hi everyone, I’m delighted to say that I’ll be standing as a candidate in the 2027 local elections to represent the prospective Creech and North Curry division of Somerset Council.

I grew up in North Curry where I lived for 24 years before moving to Taunton with my partner Emilia, who teaches Pilates at Radiant Pilates studio in Stoke St Gregory, and our cat, Tosia (pronounced Tosha).

Currently I work for Gideon Amos, MP for Taunton and Wellington, handling communication and casework. This work inspired me to want to be a local representative.

Previously I've worked as a learning support assistant for children with special educational needs and disabilities, including a term at Selworthy School.

I’ll be out and about across Creech and North Curry over the coming weeks and months hearing about what matters to you.
