Demand Better for Whipps Cross

The Labour government has broken its promise to fund the redevelopment of Whipps Cross Hospital, like the Conservative government before them. Originally promised for completion in 2026, Labour has now delayed the work further and to begin by 2032 at the earliest. This is despite local MPs promising to push ahead with the redevelopment before the election.

Whipps Cross Hospital has been deteriorating for years and these further delays in providing a quality service for patients and a better work environment for staff are unacceptable.
