Morehall Phone Box Graffiti cleared
Campaigners Tom McNeice and Darren Briddock are pleased the phone junction box in St Georges Road, Morehall has been cleaned of graffiti.
New boundaries for the 2024 General Election.
From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Folkestone and Hythe will include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of Broadmead, Cheriton, East Folkestone, Folkestone Central, Folkestone Harbour, Hythe, Hythe Rural, New Romney, Romney Marsh, Sandgate & West Folkestone, Walland & Denge Marsh.
The electorate will be reduced to bring it within the permitted range by transferring out the North Downs area in the north (North Downs East and North Downs West wards), along with the parts in the Borough of Ashford (Saxon Shore ward), primarily to the reconfigured constituency of Ashford.

A recent spot check on a Folkestone Town Centre car park confirms the decline in our area. Shellons Street car park near Guildhall Street was selected at random, but the check revealed at least seven major issues with the state of the car park, from litter to graffiti, uncut verges to damaged kerbs.
Shepway Council have had the graffiti removed from the bus stop in Church Road near the Horn Street junction. This issue was reported to the Council most recently on 12 May by Tim Prater, and has taken nearly TWO MONTHS to get resolved.
