New boundaries for the 2024 General Election.
About Ashford Constituency
From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Ashford will (pretty ridiculously, in our opinion) include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of North Downs East and North Downs West, in addtion to the Ashford Borough Council seats of:
Aylesford & East Stour, Beaver, Bircholt, Bockhanger, Bybrook, Conningbrook & Little Burton Farm, Furley, Goat Lees, Godinton, Highfield, Kennington, Mersham, Sevington South with Finberry, Norman, Park Farm North, Park Farm South, Repton, Roman, Singleton East, Singleton West, Stanhope, Victoria, Washford, Willesborough, Wye with Hinxhill.
The Ashford seat therefore stretches pretty much to the coast, across an area that in no way could be called Ashford: Ashford and North Downs, maybe.
Winning for Bromley - from Shepway
The Lib Dem team from Folkestone and Hythe have been celebrating the huge swing to the Lib Dems at the Bromley By-election. Past Folkestone Lib Dem Agent Shaun Roberts was the mastermind on the Lib Dem campaign, which saw the 17th safest Tory seat in the country turned into a wafer-thin 633 majority.

"A Very, Very Good Night for the Liberal Democrats": Tories almost lose Bromley, their 17th Safest Seat
Ben Abbotts and the Liberal Democrats have given a huge "Thank You" to all those in Bromley and Chislehurst who supported the Liberal Democrats on Thursday. The Conservatives retained their 17th safest seat in the country with a tiny 650 majority, despite a huge swing to the Liberal Democrats.
