Ian Sollom MP is looking for a Communications Assistant to help in his St Neots office
Key Tasks
- Establish, monitor, and update Ian’s social media and online presence in the constituency.
- Produce online graphics and video content.
- Manage and monitor social media enquiries, dealing with cases that do not need to be transferred to a higher level. Ensure all enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Monitor media coverage, liaise with media, prepare press releases as required (on constituency, non-party-political matters).
- Help co-ordinate Communication tasks including but not limited to: Email newsletters, Village/Town journal contributions
Essential skills and experience for this part of the role:
- Excellent standard of written and spoken English
- A highly organised approach
- A love of talking to people
- A creative eye for good photos and graphics
- Comfortable using social media
- A self-starter who understands the importance of working collaboratively with colleagues
- Sympathy with the aims and values of the Liberal Democrat
There may be a requirement for the role holder to work outside of normal working hours and travel for work occasionally
