John Rossington

Candidate for Dewsbury and Batley

General Election - 4 July 2024

John Rossington

John Rossington is the Liberal Democrat candidate for Dewsbury and Batley. He has lived in the constituency for over 20 years. He had a career working in the Social Care sector managing homelessness schemes and services for people with a drug or alcohol addiction.Unlike many other candidates this has given John a good understanding of the delivery of good quality services to ordinary people facing difficult times. John believes that Kirklees Council has neglected the towns of Dewsbury and Batley. The recent closures of Dewsbury Sports Centre and Dewsbury Registry Office are examples of this neglect. John is keen that the new parliament works for peace in Gaza. He is proud that all Liberal Democrats voted for a bilateral ceasefire. John is committed to a quality NHS for all people in North Kirklees. He will fight to preserve and develp services at Dewsbury Hospital. Through his own professional experience he is committed to see the reform of the Social Care sector.
