High Court ruling on Trafford’s Council Tax Reduction Scheme

Responding to news of the High Court ruling, Trafford Liberal Democrat Leader Councillor Shaun Ennis said, “The Lib Dems are alarmed that the council tax policy was found to be discriminatory, especially as it wasn’t voted on by Full Council.”
“It is important that Town Hall officers now tell councillors how we got into this mess, how many residents are impacted, what needs to be done to support them; and what will be done to make the council tax policy fair.”
